5 Keys to Teach Yourself to Sing using Learning to Sing CD

By Solomon Silver

Voice training with a Learn to Sing CD can take us from straining to singing easily and singing high. Learn to Sing CD courses and online singing courses have been available for years, making the choice of which to buy challenging. Singing high notes easily, not straining our voice, and more can all be learned from online singing courses - as long as we choose the right one and avoid wasting precious money.

Learning to sing requires learning to control our vocal chords. Like any muscle, vocal chords can be strengthened, tuned up, stretched, made faster - such as signing vibrato, or ruined by improper training. A good learn to sing CD offers training tips for stretching vocal chords. Online singing lessons, or singing lessons with CD's can be just the boost needed for getting to the high notes. The average singer has a 1 and 1/2 octave range. This is 12 notes.

By studying with a CD for learning to sing, or teach yourself to sing course, the new singer can learn the proper technique for singing high notes. Often, testimonials from each Learn to Sing CD course, or online singing course will discuss how the course improved the singing range of customers.

My own voice is a bass-baritone. Frank Sinatra songs were a bit out of my range until I worked with a Learn to Sing CD and I began to teach myself to sing those high notes. My vocal range after learning to sing with online singing courses is up to 2 octaves. Now I can sing all of Sinatra's songs without too much strain. A trained singer can sing even 3 octaves. Opera singers are capable of this, but only after significant training. Most of the voices we hear on the radio have had some form of vocal training.

Many singing courses, whether they are online or on CD's, can be very expensive. My own course cost me over $150 for learning to sing! Still, teaching yourself to sing with CD's, or online is much cheaper than voice coaches. A few lessons with a voice coach could cost $300+. Ouch.

5 Secrets to Teach Yourself to Sing with Learn to Sing CD's:
1. Use the Learn to Sing CD in your car or download the online singing course to your MP3 player. CD's have higher sound quality. If not in your car, then when you shower. Sing early and brighten your day!

2. Start very slowly, even if already a practiced singer. Each instructor has different exercises, so give the body time to adjust. 10-15 minutes a day is plenty for the first 2 weeks. Build up to no more than 30 minutes a day of hard practice.

3. Sing for only 10 minutes with the new course if it changes your style. Like working out any muscle start slowly.

4. By far the most critical thing I learned about using Learn to Sing CD courses is to make sure... - 23806

Online Country Music Guitar Lessons

By Dan Allanson

It has become such a popular item on the Internet today and is accessible for everyone, young and old, novice or experienced. I am talking about country music guitar lessons. So let's look at a few aspects that will guarantee to delight you. We will focus on some individual styles and also discuss the telecaster.

You might not know this, but a very interesting style of playing took hold during the blues and rock eras of music. It is known as the bottleneck style because of the way players expressed their lyrics by sliding objects along the strings, which produced human sounding voices.

It started way back in the early twentieth century and because of it's unbelievable popularity, it just flourished in the nineteen sixties when blues and rock music exploded. The haunting sounds made by sliding an object along the strings just mesmerized people as they could identify with these sounds played along with the lyrics.

Interesting to note that the players back then used actual bottle necks placed on their first and second fingers. They would slide the glass along the strings producing really unique sounds. Some preferred using steel blades or knives. Many guitarists would also place the guitar down on their laps as it was easier to slide.

Ever heard of chicken pickin? Well this style of playing was developed by Walon Jennings. Many lead guitar solos use the technique. How it is played is you would pull the strings with your right hand finger while damping the string with your left hand. There are of course many different techniques in playing country guitar and no doubt you will find your own way which will be most comfortable for you.

Should you want to take country music guitar lessons, it would be helpful for you to learn about the typical sound that is associated with country guitar music. Rock and roll has as many sounds as there are guitar players, but the country music guitar has its own distinct sound.

The reason for this is that most country players choose to stay with the clean, clear sound of the Fender Telecaster. The "Tele" as it is known, had a sound that made wishful guitar players sit up and take notice. And let's not forget the beautiful designs that made it a dream to play. It was the first electric guitar to be successfully produced and sold on a big scale and it was ideal for playing country music.

Almost anyone can teach themselves country music guitar. If you have average aptitude and a good quality, comprehensive website to learn from, it should take about three to four weeks to learn enough chords and strums to be playing a large number of country music songs. With online country music guitar instruction, you will discover amazing methods to learn how to play guitar and play virtually any guitar song you hear. - 23806
