The Twilight Saga Collection- A Must-Have

The Twilight Saga Collection is a great value for anyone thinking about getting into Stephenie Meyers' Twilight series, since it not only offers all four books, i.e. Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse and Breaking Dawn for an unbeatable price, it also comes in a beautiful keepsake box. I already own all four books, but I purchased this gorgeous box set as well, which I can keep as a souvenir, and then use the other books as reading copies.

If you are new to the series, the books are in the this order: Twilight - Bella Swan moves to a small town near Seattle called Forks and meets Edward Cullen, an enigmatic student at her high school who turns out to be a vampire and lives with his clan in a magnificent mansion. As the romance between Bella and Edward blossom, they have to face obstacles such as the physical 'constraints' of being in a mortal-vampire relationship, facing objections from their respective families, and threats from other more vicious vampires.

New Moon - Edward and Bella are parted and Bella is so heartbroken that her life becomes empty and without direction. Enter Jacob Black, the tall, dark and handsome friend from the reservation, La Push who provides Bella with not only friendship but someone she can trust and rely on during a desperate time. Of course, nothing in Bella Swan's life is ever quite so simple and complications crop up once again.

Eclipse - Edward and Bella are back together, much to the disappointment and disgust of Jacob Black, himself now an other-worldly being. Will he convince Bella that he is more worthy of her love or will Edward prevail?

Breaking Dawn - the final instalment in the series. Edward, Bella and Jacob feature prominently here, with the most pivotal question - will Bella sacrifice her mortality for an immortal life with Edward? If so, what are the repercussions?

In the end, the Twilight series makes for a compelling and enjoyable reading experience and this one of a kind boxed set is definitely something worth getting and cherishing for both die-hard fans and new readers. - 23806

Season 2 and True Blood is now well under way - new characters and new romances blossoming. Some relationships are evolving, such as Bill and Sookie, while others like Jessica and Hoyt's are beginning a-fresh.

Question is though, where are these relationships headed? Let us have a quick look see at some of the key relationships going on in small town Bon Temps right now and check out where they may just be headed, shall we...

Eggs and Tara: hmmm, not sure I am taking to this Eggs guy too much. There is something that just does not sit right with him. Whats more - he seems a bit on the dangerous side too. You wonder if he is under the control of Maryann or something like that. I pity Tara having Eggs in her life. Really she ought to try harder to get him out. But thats easier said than done.

Daphne and Sam: at first Daphne seemed a fairly pathetic and useless character but after seeing those deep gashes on her back, you have to start to think all is not what it would appear with her. Is she connected to that creature that attacked Sookie in the first part of this season? This said, is she just flirting around with cute Sam or is there something deeper there? The mind boggles...

Terry and Arlene: Terry is an oddity for definite! He's got a strange thing for sniffing Arlene's hair - so odd - yuck! Not that sniffing hair is so bad, its just the way he does it thats bad. Although they are not truly a couple as yet, its fairly obvious they will become so fairly soon I suspect. More to come from them shortly.

Jessica and Hoyt: sweeeeeet! Oh so sweeeeet! This is love as it should be - innocent and real and cute and cuddly. Ahhh... to be in love again.... Jessica now being so much in love with Hoyt is bound to be on the right track again.

Jason and Sarah: Jason Stackhouse, ever the guy to get in a pickle because of his lack of intelligence. Silly guy but like-able all the same, don't you think? The sooner he gets out and leaves that Jesus Camp behind the better though. And this relationship with Sarah - is it going any place in the longer term or are they just playing games? Games, no doubt.

Sookie and Bill: fight after fight and emotions continually up and down like the proverbial yoyo! Nevertheless, you gotta give it to these guys - they always stick by each other and come back to each other, no matter what. There will never be any real peace between them though so there is much more yoyo-ing to come, no doubts about it! - 23806

On May 15, 2007 the information was published, that Halo 3 would be released on September 25 in North America and the 26th in Europe. Halo 3 marked the third in a very popular series for the Xbox 360 called 'Halo'. According to the vice president of Microsoft's interactive entertainment business, Halo 3's release was much more than just a video game release, it was the biggest media event of the year. He might just have been right as well.

The history of Halo 3 really starts with the release of the first game in the series 'Halo: Combat Evolved'. In November, 2001, when Halo was first released, game consoles were something of a joke for one person shooter games. Sure, some games existed, but there weren't the popular communities that the PC games in the genre had.

That all changed with Halo, in which players could battle aliens on foot and in vehicles, completing objectives, while trying to uncover the secret of the Halo. Halo pioneered limiting the number of weapons a player could carry to two, which meant forcing the player to take strategic decisions.

Enthusiasts waited for the release of Halo 3 with baited breath. They awaited the continuation of the one-person, shoot-em-up combat format that had been prevalent in the two former parts of Halo. Microsoft calls it the 'Golden Triangle of Halo', which consists of gun-type weapons, grenades and others. In actuality, this was nothing new to one-person, shoot-em-up games, as it had been around since the very first Doom and even the precursor to that game, "Wolfenstein".

So, with all of that previous history, people were full of anticipation over the Halo 3 release date. How popular and welcome was the game? Well, before its release, 3.1 million copies were sold in advance orders and retailers thought that that was insufficient.

The game grossed $300 million in the United States in just the first seven days. Overall, it has sold over nine million copies worldwide and was the best-selling video game in the USA in 2007. Even the critics liked it, putting it the seventh highest in the all-time list of Xbox 360 games.
