Movie Reviews and How To Download Films

By Peter Stucky

The following paragraphs contain some nice movie reviews. Here are some ways to find movie download sites. A good movie download search would use phrases such as "Download Movies Online For Free", "Full Movie Downloads", and "New Movie Rental".

The Red Violin: Multi-episode film follows the destiny of a hexed violin from 17th-century Italy to 18th century Vienna, 19th century England, 20th-century China and present day Montreal. The tales are mainly downbeat and or aggravating, and the finish up part with appraiser Jackson is difficult to swallow. Colorful locales and enthralling premises sustain limited interest all the way through. Cast includes Carlo Cecchi, Irene Grazioli, Jean-Luc Bideau, Jason Flemyng, Greta Scacchi, Sylvia Chang, Samuel L. Jackson, Colm Feore, Monique Mercure, Don McKellar, and Sandra Oh. (131 minutes, 1998)

My Son the Hero: Epic film in regards to sinister Emperor Cadmus of Thebes, who challenges the lords and faces the fury of the Titans. Cast includes Pedro Armendariz, Jacqueline Sassard, Antonella Lualdi, and Giuliano Gemma. (122 minutes, 1962)

Barfly: Surprisingly entertaining photograph of L.A. lowlife, and boozy, recklessly macho author Henry Chinaski, played with bravado by Rourke. Dunaway is magnificent as his alcoholic soul-mate. Based on the auto-biographical writings of cult top choice Charles Bukowski, who might be noticed on one of the bar stools. Cast includes Mickey Rourke, Faye Dunaway, Alice Krige, Jack Nance, J.C. Quinn, and Frank Stallone. (97 minutes, 1987)

Belle of the Yukon: Little musical of bar owner Scott going straight at request of his gal (Lee). The film is fast paced but very forgettable. Cast includes Randolph -Scott, Gypsy Rose Lee, Bob Burns, Dinah Beach, Charles Winninger, William Marshall, Guinn "Gigantic - Boy" Williams, and Robert Armstrong, (84 minutes, 1944)

The Eagle and the Hawk: Well generated anti war film with hesitant idol March, intimidating gunner Grant, everyone's buddy Oakie, and understanding city gal Lombard. Awakening John Mouk Saunders tale is still well timed. Cast includes Fredric March, Cary Grant, Jack Oakie, Carole Lombard, and Douglas Scott. (68 minutes, 1933)

Slave Girl: Story of adventure with a sinister man keeping Americans captive. This film should not to be taken seriously (there's even a speaking camel). Cast includes Yvonne De Carlo, George Brent, Broderick Crawford, Albert Dekker, Lois Collier, Andy Devine, and Arthur Treacher. (80 minutes, 1947)

Hold That Ghost: Prime Abott and Costello, with the boys inheriting a haunted home. Fine cast contains humorous Davis as virtuoso stereo screamer. A highlight is the moving candle. Cast includes Bud Abbott, Lou Costello, Richard Carlson, Joan Davis, Mischa Auer, Evelyn Ankers, Marc Lawrence, Shemp Howard, Ted Lewis, and The Andrews Sisters. (86 minutes, 1941)

The Guyver: All-American Armstrong, contaminated by an extraterrestrial device, finds that he is an armored superhero, an excellent thing, as long as virtually everyone else in the film might turn into a frightening beast, like CIA representative Hamill, who turns into a large cockroach. Awkward clumps of humor only make the contrived structure appear even more mindless. (92 minutes, 1992)

Buck Privates: Un-contemporary although engaging Army opus with Bud and Lou inadvertently registering. Brassy melodies (containing Andrews Sister's "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy") and subplots get in the way, however A&C's regimens are amid their best; their first featuring film. Cast includes Bud Abbott, Lou Costello, Lee Bowman, Alan Curtis, The Andrews Siblings, Jane Frazee, Nat Pendleton, and Shemp Howard. (84 minutes, 1941)

Did you know you can find tons of movies online that you can download? To learn more about movie download sites search "Unlimited Mp3 Downloads" or "Movie Downloading Site". If those fail you try "Download Internet Movies". - 23806

Computer 3d Animation An Art Or A Technical Skill

By Jasque Brisk

From the epoch of the prehistoric cave paintings to the contemporary age, art has taken distinct aspects and been on different media. With time art has modified its expression and with swift advancement in modern technology, computers have had their impact on art. Animation, which is an important form of art for our century, has entered the domain of computer technology from its traditional beginnings.

3D Animation is a technique which makes it possible to create and show moving objects with a 3 Dimensional touch on a 2D screen. 2D animation has been around for a long time, but 3D animation has overtaken it as the results of the later are amazingly realistic. 3D Animation is not restricted to films, but is also used in computer games, architecture, constructing models and samples, and as a web designing and communication tool.

3D Animation consists of an elaborate process of 3D modeling, texturing, animating and rendering. Three Dimensional Modeling is the sculpting of any object or environment in its Three Dimensional representation through specialized software. Texturing gives a realistic shade to the 3D models, which makes it possible for the audience to relate to an object or a person, or even a location in a Three Dimensional Animation. It is much like painting on a sculpture and gives the model its finished look.

The core principles of animation making the creation of the illusion of motion possible largely remain the same in one form or another as in traditional animation. They have been modified into Motion Capture and Key-framing techniques, which are digitalized, effective and highly automated animation techniques. Key-framing involves setting up 2 frames or key positions representing a unit of animation. The illusion of the motion is created by the computer by automatically filling the gaps in between the frames.

Motion Capture is another one of the new animation techniques, the use of which is not exclusive to animation. It brings life to characters in animations by translating the recorded movements of real actors or models into the Three Dimensional Animation. 3 Dimensional Animations also require a much higher frame rate to support its photorealism and effectiveness, which exceeds 24 frames per second, which is used for traditional animation.

Such fascination inspires lots of people for an animation career. Many of the aspiring animators take shallow animation courses and only concentrate on developing skills in 3D Animation software, which is not quite enough. In order to learn the art of 3D animation you must seek schools like Sheridan and Redhouse College of Animation, which offer excellent technical facilities for enabling the students to focus on developing their skills.

You can only transcend as a 3D animator, if you are capable of original and creative work. You should be mastering essential design programs like Flash and Photoshop. You should have a good idea of 3D Modeling and should be able to master the function of animation variables, the essential structures that make up life-like characters in an animation.

You have to know how to use colors effectively and a degree in arts will be considered desirable for the job. You should also be aware of crucial elements like lights, materials and rendering to give your animation the power to keep the audiences glued to their seats. It is realization of these details which will make sure that 3D animated objects created by you look more life like.

How can Computer 3D Animation be of some practical use to a internet site designer, who is not too much into the technical details? Anyone can create animations on quite a decent level through a number of available software for this purpose. Maya, 3ds max, Messiah Studio, Softimage XSI and Cinema 4D are a few names of advanced 3D animation software, but these are mostly utilized by animation professionals. It is better to research their features by checking their reviews out on different sites and decide which one suits you better. There are other programs for website designing and general purpose animation, such as RealSoft 3D, 3D GIF Designer and Xara 3D, which are much simple to use.

If you desire to use 3D animation in the content of your web site, you could settle for software with simple features and an easy and accessible user interface. 3D Animations have become an effective communication method of our age and can be a potential source of good traffic for web designers as computer programs have brought this technology into their access. This technology allows you to explore new horizons on whatever front it can be utilized. It is up to you to use it efficiently now. - 23806

Experience the Magic: Bridge to Terabithia

By James G. Pynn

Friendship -- and stories about friendship -- tends to be a theme that children take with them throughout their lives. One such story is Disneys BRIDGE TO TERABITHIA. The story revolves around two 12-year-old friends who create a world they can escape to -- a world of their own. This virtual kingdom was stunningly depicted by the conceptual artist Dima Malanitchev and brought tot life by the effects wizards at Weta Digital. The director, Csupo, insisted the look and feel of the fantastic elements be realistic and keeping in line with a greater sense of subtlety.

A key facet of BRIDGE TO TERABITHIA is the depiction of a friendship that spans across reality and the veil between this world and another. This film version of the beloved childrens novel of the same name was widely acclaimed for its authenticity. Some critics had feared the film would bypass some of the novels more somber plot devices, but to the credit of director Gabor Csupo, the film tastefully and poignantly involves every facet of the novel.

With only a few minor adjustments for the visual nature of the medium, the film is a shining example of how a novel should and could be adapted for the screen. Adapted for the screen by David Paterson, the son of the novels author, Katherine Paterson, the script provides a marvelous platform for the realization of a great film. It was faithfully adapted and lovingly brought to life. This is in no small way an indication of both Csupo and Patersons dedication to the tenements of the novel.

This is a film that can be enjoyed by audiences both young and old. The film was lauded with critical acclaim, box office glory, and a series of prestigious awards. Indeed, this triple accomplishment is no small feat and is reflective of the brilliance of Csupos direction. Completed for $20 million, the film garnered more than $120 million worldwide, designating it as something of a rarity: a hit. The film virtually swept the Young Artist Awards, sponsored by the prestigious Hollywood Foreign Press Association.

Jesse Aarons, played by Josh Hutcherson, and Leslie Burke, played by AnnaSophia Robb are the friends at the center of this luminous story. These relative newcomers provide a convincing and moving portrait of young friendship and possibly the budding of young love. Indeed, as another of its taglines suggests: close your eyes, but keep your mind wide open.Shot in Auckland, New Zealand, the film balances the realities of everyday life and the imaginative world created by its characters. - 23806

Sir Elton and Billy the Kid

By James G. Pynn

A concert of a lifetime comes, well -- once in a lifetime. To that end, it would be tantamount to a crime to not get the word out that as you are reading this little bit of hullabaloo, Elton John and Billy Joel are on the same ticket and rocking in the free world. That's right -- on the same bill and even joining forces for some killer encores. Even if you are not a big fan of what is now designated as "classic rock" you'll definitely enjoy this audio and visual extravaganza.

As the nights get longer and the summer gets going -- the rocking gets louder. Behold, the rock gods are on the loose and Saturday night is all right for high-five-ing. If there was any doubt, you can be sure these men have not faded softly into middle-aged rock flaccidity. No sir. Billy and Elton are in fine form and belting them out better than ever. Just check out your local arena and feel the power.

Wait, is it already the Fourth of July? Kind of -- but what you are witnessing is Billy and Elton blasting the roof off of Wrigley Field. Not only are you guaranteed to have the tuna salad rocked out of you, but never forget these giants bring with them a formidable pyrotechnics display. That's the kind of combined firepower legendary concerts are made of. Not since chocolate and peanut butter has there been a better combining of forces.

Ok, the analogy of this being some kind of cosmic alignment might be stretching it, but how often do two rock gods jump on the same ticket? The Rocket Man meets the Piano Man. Forget about it. All the major cities are on the slate for these rock and roll generals as they bring in the noise to North America. This is truly a once-in-a-lifetime event. Don't disappoint your grandchildren, instead give them a great story and book your tickets.

To be sure you can wait until the last minute and hit up the scalpers for tickets five-times their worth, or you can book online, securely and worry about something more important -- like finding a good parking spot. You would be better off commuting, if possible. Either way, without a set of sweet tickets there's no point to even showing up. Get you tickets and get your rock on before the shows all over. - 23806
