By Tina B Simmons

A PSP center isn't merely for gaming but can in addition be utilized to listen to music, check email, and look at photographs or movies. The machine is incredibly complex and trouble-free to operate. It is especially easy to bring on trips and provides functionality for a modest price. While the console is predominately renowned for its game functionality it can also act as a means to listen to your favorite music. Downloading your favorite tunes to listen to on your PSP console is incredibly simple.

In order to listen to music on your PSP center you must first download music to the device. Whether you choose to upload from a disc, download from the Internet or your computer there are easy ways to add music to your gaming console. First the USB cord must be connected from the computer to the game console. Different operating systems may differ but most will distinguish the machine and induce a new drive be created.

To discover the USB connection through the computer, initially navigate through the PSP console by using the up and down arrows and select the USB connection. Once the computer recognizes the different connection it will set up a new port that will almost certainly be named a letter such as E or F, and will more than likely not be C or D. Now that the connection has been produced, the procedure for downloading music to the game console is prepared.

Only MP3 files can be played on the PSP center. Music can be uploaded from a D, downloaded from the computer or the Internet. If the file you want to download isn't in MP3 format there are image converters obtainable to alter a file to the correct format. There is music obtainable all over the Internet for a nominal fee. Various sites provide unlimited downloads for a monthly fee with no contract.

You must create a folder on the newly produced drive for the PSP console. It could be named music or whatever you would prefer. This will be the folder to save your tunes.

When music is already downloaded to a computer, the files will need to be copied from their existing location and pasted into the music folder, or what you decided to designate your folder on the recently created drive, for the PSP device. When downloading music from the Internet, my recommendation would be to save the music to start with to your computer and then copy the files onto the PSP device. This way the music will be saved in both places and the computer files can be used as a back up if something fails with PSP download. Once all of the songs or files are downloaded from the Internet, navigate to the folder where the files were saved on the computer and copy those to the PSP device drive. If wanting to transport music from a CD, you would need to use a CD ripper software to transport the files from the Compact disc to the computer or PSP device.

Once the downloading process is concluded, before unplugging the device from the computer, make sure to press the o button on the game console. Then you can unplug the USB cord from the computer and game console. You are set to listen to your music

Glastonbury Campervan Rental

By Steve MacDonald

Motorhome rental at Glastonbury Festival has become a really popular and cool way to enjoy the festival. The Festival is now more geared up than ever to provide facilities for campervans and motorhomes, but there are some important points you should note regardless of whether you bring your own vehicle or take advantage of one the companies that offer Glastonbury motorhome rental.

To use the allocated fields for campervans and caravans, you will need a special ticket. These are available for an additional fee (it was 75 in 2009), and they can be purchased at the same time as your Glastonbury Festival ticket. Although only one is required for each vehicle, every person staying in the motorhome does need a weekend Glastonbury Festival ticket, you will not be allowed in if you haven't.

Campervans must have 'suitable fitted facilities', this means the campervan must have purpose-built fitted sleeping facilities and either fitted cooking or washing facilities. Any converted vehicles must clearly be live-in vehicles. This does not mean simply a van with a piece of foam cut to size for a bed, and a bucket for washing! A team of campsite staff and security staff will check that campervans and caravans coming into these fields have bona fide living accommodation. No other vehicles will be let onto these fields under any circumstances - not even late replacement vehicles in the case of a breakdown. If your vehicle is considered unsuitable for the campervan fields which includes unconverted vans, will not be allowed entry and will be sent to one of the festival car parks - and security patrols will not permit sleeping in any vehicles in these car parks.

Facilities provided in the camper van and touring caravan fields are water, waste-water containers, toilets, and a food trader open 24 hours a day. The fields are surrounded by steel shield fencing and patrolled by security staff. No electricity is provided for field users.

Glastonbury Festival does not rent caravans to ticket holders, or have any arrangements with contractors to rent caravans. You can of course hire a camper van and bring it to the Festival, provided you have purchased a weekend Glastonbury Festival ticket and a camper van ticket.

The only access to the motorhome and caravan fields is via the Blue Route, along from the A37. A windscreen sticker will be sent to you with your motorhome ticket, which will permit access to the Pylle Road via the Blue Route, and allow you to park in the fields. You will be allowed access from 8am on the Wednesday before the festival. To enable traffic to exit the site, Blue Route becomes one-way outbound from 2pm on Sunday afternoon until 6pm on Monday evening. As a result, no vehicles can access the motorhome and caravan fields during this time. Do not leave the motorhome and caravan fields in your vehicle and expect to get back to the fields during these times, or arrange for others to pick up during this period, as entry will be refused.

For rented campervans there is a system with the contractors delivering the campervans/caravans so that they can use the rental document/delivery note to bring the vehicle on to the Festival site. Your motorhome rental company will have more details of this.

The Fire Officer will not allow ticket-holders to camp beside campervans or cars due to the risk of contiguous fire, but it is permitted to camp behind them. You can bring a Winnebago or extra large RV however, for all vehicles longer than 7 meters it will be necessary to purchase two caravan/campervan tickets, to cover the extra space required.

You can use an awning, but only manufacturers awnings are acceptable. The Fire Service does not permit people to sleep under these awnings because of the risk of contiguous fire between vehicles.

Stewards will be on hand in the camper van fields to advise on siting vehicles. It is not possible to reserve a specific area as space is allocated on a first come first served basis.

There are some things that you cannot bring: Absolutely no generators are allowed on site. Also, glass is not permitted anywhere on festival land. The security staff will also check for any other items not permitted on site, as specified in the terms and conditions on weekend tickets. Security staff will confiscate any such items and may refuse entry to the site. The decision of the security team will be final. - 23806

?Beginners Guide To Guitar Scales - How To Play Guitar

By Walsh Davis

You should know the few fundamentals about the guitar, and the first step in is the understanding of notes that is the basis of music. The next step is to have knowledge about scales. The problem is that when some people are presented with musical scales for the first time, and they are being asked to play variations of these musical scales, it can become a disheartening undertaking. In this article we are going to search some of the causes for the existence of scales, and why we focus on them so greatly.

what are Musical Scales? A Technical View

We can construct music out of 12 possible notes because we have only 12 possible notes. Western music has evolved such rules which describe how and when you can use these notes together. Although this is merely convention, but by practicing these principles you will immediately find that something is improper or unique instead of hearing the various general musical scales you hear commonly when you do not apply these rules. No proper information is written in stone about the mode these things are devised, but we are all so used to hearing music from an early age that incorporates these principles that we don't even think about the alternatives until we start to study musical theory in depth.

If you want to play western style music and be a great guitarist, you are in need to understand these principles. A noteworthy part of these rules and conventions is the musical scales we use.

What is a scale? It is basically a sequence of tones, picked out from the 12 available, that work together to give an effect to the music. You can describe individual scales in a better way as a list of gaps between the notes. Half notes or Whole notes are denoted by the term Tone or Semitone which give the rule of using their basic letters, T and S.

Some people utilise Half and Whole (W, H) to denote the gaps, and other manner is to list the number of semitones (1 or 2). Either way is taken, these three are same or all impart the gaps for the leading scale:

1. T T S T T T S 2. W W H W W W H 3. 2 2 1 2 2 2 1

Let us see, how this acts. Pick up a musical scale at random - G# major. This step tells two things. First, our root note is G#. Second, we will be using the Major scale rule to work out the notes.

Therefore, we start with our G# note, and add the basic step of the rule which is a T, meaning a Tone. Thus, starting with G # and moving up a tone or two half notes puts us onto A#:

G# + T = A#

Next, we start with A#, and look at the next letter in the rule - its a Tone once again, thus we add 2 half notes to A#, to give us a C:

A# + T = C

Next, we start with a C and find out the formula - now it is a semitone, which takes us to C#:

C + S = C#

If we continue with this we get the following:

C# + T = D# D# + T = F (remember nothing is like an E#) F + T = G G + S = G#

Thus, we have built our scale of G# major according to our major scale pattern to get the notes:

G# A# C C# D# F G

Mostly, the scales we use have 7 notes in them but that is not an important rule. For example, the minor pentatonic scale only has 5 notes in it (its formula is 3 2 2 3 2 - I used numbers here instead of T and S because it has a couple of Tone and a half leaps, which is 3 half notes, and that is more easily written down as a 3 instead of something like "T + 1/2", but it all signifies the same thing). Some scales have more notes, for example the chromatic musical scale has all 12 notes in it.

Thus in this way the scales act! The formula depicts them and we pick whichever root note we desire to construct. The next step is to convert these notes into a formula so that we can play it. - 23806
