More Michael Jackson Books on the Way

In life, there were a plethora of books dedicated to the life, times and career of Michael Jackson. In death, we can expect the number of Michael Jackson books to explode; whether these are studies of his music, reflections on the enigma of his dancing, or more spurious efforts into his private activities.

For the millions of loyal supporters, UK publisher Harper Collins will become the biggest house to launch its effort. Delivered from concept to print in just 3 weeks, "Michael Jackson - Legend, Hero, Icon", is set to go straight to the top of the bestsellers as it hits UK markets Friday July 17.

Whilst conspiracies into his death and stories about his very public private life will come out over time; this tribute is very much a reflection on the good he was responsible for, and actively aligns itself with the King of Pop's legion of followers.

However, it is not the first of the Michael Jackson books to hit the shelves globally.

This can be seen with the publishing on July 14 of "Unmasked: The Final Years of Michael Jackson". Almost prophetic, author Ian Halperin had painstakingly studied the decline in Jackson's health over recent years. The book may well contain some interesting revelations; including comments regards the singer's lack of confidence in his "This Is It" tour. Delayed from print due to Jackson's sudden death, this could well corner a significant share of the market.

The delay also allowed author, Ian Halperin, the opportunity to rewrite the final chapter of course.

The first completely new book since his untimely death is most likely to be found in China. Appearing in stores from Saturday July 7, two writers worked tirelessly over a 48 hour period to deliver the copy.

However, that "Moonwalk in Paradise" was researched, written, and available for sale just days after Jackson drew his final breath raises questions over its true value. By the authors' own admission, it is more an outpouring of their feelings than any solidly researched piece of prose.

These Michael Jackson books may well be the first to hit the shelves, but there will be more. Whilst the book industry has not been damaged as severely as other industries throughout this recession, this boost to sales will be a welcome shot in the arm. - 23806

Lara Croft: Tomb Raider: Wealthy and elite, Lara Croft is also a treasure hunter. She is looking for one of the world's ultimate treasure, two halves of an ancient buried artifact. A secret society is also seeking these relics, because of the incredible power the owner will have. Can Lara find the relics first, and keep them from the hands of this secret society?

College Road Trip: Melanie is off to college soon. The question is which one. She plans a road trip with her girlfriends so they can check out some colleges. When her Police Chief father insists on going along for the ride, the dream trip turns into a nightmare of a comedy.

The Home Of Usher: Yet a new relating of the Edgar Allan Poe myth is one large yawn, with Reed as Roderick Guide, and Windsor as his prey-the lady who might bear him a child and carry on the family name.
