Some of the most popular themes are movies and cartoons, especially Disney, as there are so many to choose between. Because of this there are lots of Disney costumes for both adults and children.

Another good movie theme is the Moulin Rouge, like the movie starring Nicole Kidman and Ewan McGregor. There are lots of fabulous Moulin Rouge costumes available and you can add fishnets and lacy underwear for a racy, risque costume.

Other movie themes include the classic movie The Wizard of Oz. This has loads of famous characters and therefore lots of costumes available for it. You can get lots of different Dorothy costumes, as well as all the other main characters - the Scarecrow, the Tin Man, the Cowardly Lion, the Wicked Witch of the West, and Glinda the Good Witch.

Another popular movie theme is Star Wars. You can get Star Wars costumes for pretty much every character from every movie, which means there is lots of choice to create a varied and fun costume party. From classic Chewbacca, Darth Vader, Han Solo, Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia costumes to more recent film characters such as the fabulous Darth Maul. Another very popular Star Wars fancy dress costume for girls is the white Padme Amidala outfit.

Another top theme is Super Heroes, which are featured in many movies based on well-known comic books. This is a popular theme for both adults and children, as again there are loads of different super hero fancy dress costumes available and everyone has a favourite. Some examples include Spiderman, Batman, Superman, Mr Incredible, Captain America, Iron Man, The Thing, Wonder Woman, Super Girl and Cat Woman.

Transformers 2 - Release And Marketing

Transformers 2, the science-fiction motion picture is the most recent uproar, and is the extremely awaited motion picture of the year. After the massive achievement of Transformers and the unimaginable amount of love and support given to the characters and actors by the fans, Transformers-Revenge of the Fallen, is considerably anticipated by the vast fan following.

The movie is soon to be released on June 8, 2009 in Tokyo, Japan, June 19, 2009 in U.K and in U.S on June 24, 2009. Michael Bay as director and Steven Spielberg are once again bringing an unique amusement for the enormous spectators. The couple shook the cinema complexes with Transformers, and now is planning to sway the industry once more.

With Shia LaBeouf once again acting as Sam Witwicky, and Megan Fox as his girlfriend Mikaela Banes, the couple would once more face the Decepticons and would try to outdo them with the help of their Autobot friends. The motion picture was shot at plentiful locations with the main central point being Egypt.Out of many amazing yet dangerous scenes, three scenes were shot with IMAX cameras. The IMAX video recording is said to be 3D and the scenes engage Optimus Prime. Now, that would be thrilling to watch our desired robot on IMAX. What a delight that would be!!

The cast and team of the movie to help endorse the movie have done many guest appearances, interviews, and TV shows. New and latest toys of the robots are introduced. The old and preferred toys have been modified and have exciting new features and gadgets. The newest line of toys for Transformers' sequel introduced by Hasbro includes new models of all the robots that are introduced in the film. The previous robots have new colour schemes and new moulded elements.

The toy of our most preferred car Bumblebee would be released on 30 May, 2009 along with the robot toys of Soundwave. Additional toys are due to be released in August, 2009. Those will consist of many human figures along with some changing and non- changing car replicas.

A brand new video game is being launched by Activision made by Luxoflux. Embedded sponsorship is being done by some intercontinental companies including Burger King, LG phones, Wal-Mart, YouTube, Nike, Inc. and M&M's. Paramount believes that a main purpose for the earlier film's great success was the publicity and marketing through advertisement.

An inventiveness and Design Works prequel suitably named Destiny was to be published. Later, it was separated in two parts namely, Alliance ad Defiance which would attribute humans and Autobots. A comic book edition as well as a novel publication is being done for the film's publicity. Some false rumours were also circulated on different sites by the filmmakers themselves to add presumption and anxiety among the fans. Every new character and robot was hidden from the media's eye, and gossip was circulated at large to increase curiosity.

What Is New In Transformers 2?

Everything is new in Transformers -Revenge of the Fallen, excluding the director, producer, and the basic cast, but no one is going to complain about that. No one can be better than that group. The group which presented the super chartbuster Transformers is back with another fabulous creation. Transformers - revenge of the fallen is absolutely new, different, innovative, and original.

Shia LaBeouf plays Sam Witwicky, and heads for the adventures, and Megan Fox plays Mikaela Banes, Sam's girlfriend and like earlier Peter Cullen is giving the voice of Optimus Prime, however that's the way it has to be. Hugo Weaving once again is voicing Megatron. Of course, the movie cannot continue without Bumblebee, which is voiced by Mark Ryan.

Well, that was old and basic, at present is the newest and most interesting part i.e. the character of The Fallen, who is told to be the most important villain and the Decepticon leader. The Fallen is aroused by some wicked Decepticons from the base of the sea where he had been laying for many years. Later on, he supports the Decepticons in their fight with the Autobots.

The Fallen was one of the first thirteen transformers. He was always power hungry and lead Megatron into forming the Decepticons. He tainted and spoiled Megatron. Now that's interesting and exciting, as there is a new villain who is much more powerful, evil, and deceptive. The Fallen will lead the Decepticon troops and the battle would be more violent and ferocious.

There is a greater scope of fight back and struggle. There are more robots, explosion, and adventure. A new degree of excitement rushes. There is more action and discovery. New and different sites, a wide range of location and scenario are major pulls of the movie. The movie is shot at different locations including Egypt, where the origins of transformers are said to be discovered.

A spoiler exposed a few new Autobots. Audi R8, a Decepticon is being followed by the Autobots. These Autobots consist of the some new transformers including an ice cream truck, which can be split known as The Twins, a hot pink cool motorbike Acree, who stunts around daringly. Also there are Wheels, a go-kart, and a hot new Porsche known as Stinger, and the old Ironhide, the arms expert GMC truck from the earlier Transformers. The Autobots try to track down Audi R8 who fail to do so but anyways that exposed some interesting things for us. Now this thrilling scene would be fun to watch.

These new robots and locations add a new flavor to the movie. The storyline is much more diverse and stirring. The characters are more independent and determined. Sam's character has a new turn about as he is alone at his college without his friends and family and even Bumblebee. He seems reluctant to face the Decepticons at first but then joins hands with the Autobots as the humans might be in danger of getting involved in the Transformer's battle.

But now, let's see how Autobots and humans hold up against The Fallen, and would they be able to succeed in saving themselves and Earth once again is still yet to be revealed. - 23806

I-pods From The Beginning

We all know the ipod to be the most popular portable media device in the world. First seen in 2001 the original model had 5 gig of memory and was only compatible with mp3 files but at the time, 5 gig of memory was the most anyone had every seen in an mp3 player so it was a monumental success.

There have been five re-releases of the classic version and it is therefore now in its sixth generation. When you read the specifications of the newest model you can see how far the ipod has come since its original release.

The latest version is compatible with pretty much any file format as well as being able to play videos, images and games. You can put pretty much anything on it and use it as a portable hard drive and with 80 to 160 gig models available, you literally put anything on it.

There have been different models of the ipod released like the ipod mini. Although this was only in production for a few years because the nano model followed it which basically had the same key features of the mini and had larger memory capacity. The ipod mini was however the first one that was available in multi-colours rather than just black or white and was generally cheaper than the classic model but it depended on what size memory you wanted.

Just before the nano came and made the mini redundant, the ipod shuffle came about. This was basically a much cheaper version of the classic and mini ipod so that everyone could afford one. The reason it is so much cheaper is because for one, it doesnt have a screen so therefore it is much cheaper to mass-produce, and also it has a smaller storage capacity and can only play songs (obviously. Without a screen it would be hard to see videos or images.)

The most recent version to hit the shelves is the ipod touch. This looks quite similar to the iphone and uses a similar interface. In fact, some have said that the only difference between the ipod touch and the iphone is that you cant make phone calls on the ipod touch. There are some more subtle differences than that, but I would say that is a fair analogy.

So with its many models and updates that we have seen over the last eight years, the ipod is surely the best portable media device that the world has ever seen, or at least the most popular. - 23806
