A Potpourri Of Quality Hollywood Movie Write Ups
It wasn't that long ago that a trip to the corner video shop was the most convenient way to get a movie. These days you can stay at home and get movies from a movie download site. You can get virtually any movie you want with a good movie download site. Here are some examples.
No Love for Johnnie: Civilized research of congressmen who cares only in regards to triumphing the ballot. Cast includes Peter Finch, Stanley Holloway, Mary Peach, Mervyn Johns, Donald Pleasence, Dennis Cost, and Oliver Reed. (110 minutes, 1961)
Cuba Crossing: Hard Whitman gets to be embroiled in a structure to slaughter Fidel Castro. Filmed in Key West, Florida, and a minimum of the landscape is pretty. Cast includes Stuart Whitman, Robert Vaughn, Caren Kaye, Raymond St. Jacques, Woody Strode, Sybil Danning, Albert Salmi, and Michael Gazzo. (90 minutes, 1980)
Play Misty for Me: Well-finished shocker of a late night stereo D.J. is stalked by homicidal ex-fan Walter. Eastwood's first film as controller; his regular controller, Don Siegel, plays Murphy the bartender. Cast includes Clint Eastwood, Jessica Walter, Donna Plants, John Larch, Irene Hervey, Jack Ging, and Johnny Otis. (102 minutes, 1971)
Dawn Of The Dead: An unknown plague has drastically reduced the planets population. However, the dead aren't dying, they are becoming flesh eating zombies. The few survivors band together and fight for their lives.
The Fabulous Baker Boys: 2 brothers' for 15 year partnership as a double-piano nightclub lounge act is rattled by the addition of a feisty (and seductive) singer, who kindles changes in their act, and their relation. Author Kloves' prompting debut is trendy and self assured, with some awesome scenes and set pieces, although it skimps on tale-and by no means seriously fleshes out Jeff Bridges' morose personality. The Bridges brothers are impeccably cast, Pfeiffer is superlative. Her misty rendition of "Makin' Whoopee", although piano pondered a little, is classic. Cast includes Jeff Bridges, Michelle Pfeiffer, Dude Bridges, Ellie Raab, and Jennifer Tilly. (113 minutes, 1989)
Good Morning Miss Dove: For few generations, tiny-town spinster schoolteacher has felt and helped condition lives of her learners. Now hospitalized, her past is exposed through flashbacks. Movie theaters deal. Cast includes Jennifer Jones, Robert Pile, Kipp Hamilton, Robert Douglas, Ditch Connors, Mary Wickes, and Richard Deacon. (107 minutes, 1955)
The Cable Guy: Steve Kovacs has moved into a new apartment. When Chip the cable guy comes over to set up his system, Steve slips him a fifty for some free channels. Chip sees this as an opening to be Steve's best friend. It will be the worst $50 that Steve has ever spent.
Get Smart: Maxwell Smart is back. It's CONTROL versus KAOS in the classic battle of good versus evil. Analyst Maxwell is thrust into the role as secret agent and must put down the attack by KAOS, and their leader Siegfried.
Hanna K: Captivating although unsatisfying melodrama in regards to flaky barrister Clayburgh and her clashing relations with ex-spouse Yanne, Israeli precinct lawyer Byrne and Palestinian Bakri, who's trying to restore his ancestral home. Debatable due to its pro-Palestinian stand, however on creative terms a chief disheartenment from Costa-Gavras. Cast includes Jill Clayburgh, Jean Yanne, Gabriel Byrne, Mohammed Bakri, and David Clennon. (108 minutes, 1983)
