Local Council Investigates Lily Allen Over Smoking
Pop star Lily Allen is currently under investigation after being accused of smoking at a non-smoking venue while in concert. The singer performed at a concert in Liverpool and is now under investigation because of the incident.
The council of Liverpool have undertaken an investigation into the accusations that Lily Allen smoked at a music venue in Liverpool. According to BBC reports the Liverpool council were alerted to the incident via a local newspaper who reviewed the show.
A council spokesperson said that if the allegations were true then Lily Allen would have contravened the smoking ban legislation that smoking is not permitted in the workplace. The council have implored anybody who witnesses the singing star smoking to come forward with more details.
If Lily Allen is found to have smoked at the concert then both she and venue can be fined. Lily Allen's spokesperson would not comment on the allegations. Just recently Lily Allen had been approached by singer Elton John to design a bar for his AIDS charity. Lily Allen's own design eventually raised 100,000 for the charity.
A music magazine quoted Lily Allen as saying that she thought the charity was a good idea. She decided to make her design compact as she lives in London and doesn't have that much space in her flat. It must have been a great success if it managed to raise that much money for charity.
Singer Lily Allen is used to causing disturbances in the music industry. She was recently criticized by bands such as Radiohead for saying that illegal music downloads harm the music industry. She received fierce criticism from music fans on her blog over her opinions. She has also been in the tabloid newspapers because of her wild nights out. Because of the negative attention she has received this year she has now taken the decision to stop working in the music industry for the foreseeable future and instead concentrate on acting. - 23806
