By Leila Butler

We have reviews of some movies listed below. You can get to a good film download site through the search engines. You can find good results with by searching "Top 100 Movie Rentals", "Best Movie Download" and "New Movie Rental Releases".

Edward My Son: Well acted however talky, stagy drama in which brash, rags-to-riches Tracy coddles his child, hoping to inject within him a sense of accountability. Cast includes Spencer Tracy, Deborah Kerr, Ian Hunter, James Donald, Mervyn Johns, qnd Felix Aylmer. (112 minutes,'49)

Lilo and Stitch: Forlorn Hawaiian gal being brought up by her older sibling finds a doubtful buddy at the dog pound an alien whom she names Sew. In the mean time, people from Stitch?s world have arrived in this to recover the damaging little creature. Gorgeous watercolor surroundings are simply spectacular. Cast includes Voices of Daveigh Pursue, Christopher Michael Sanders, Tia Carrere, Kevin McDonald, Ving Rhames, David Ogden Stiers, Zoe Caldwell, Jason Scott Lee, and Kevin Michael Richardson. (85 minutes, 2002)

Eyes without a Face: This film is a moody terror film, a classic in some circles, in regards to a bright however crazed scientist surgeon researcher (Brasseur) and his destiny after maiming his little girl. Cast includes Pierre Brasseur, Alida Valli, and Edith Scob. (88 minutes,'59)

Red Sonja: A spectacularly stupid sword and magic myth with lady lead, based on mush writings of Robert E. Howard (of Conan popularity). May entertain adolescent watchers, although only point of interest for grownups is choosing who gives the worse acting job, Nielsen or villainess Bergman. Cast includes Brigitte Nielsen, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sandahl Bergman, Paul Smith, Emie Reyes, Jr., Ronald Lacey, and Pat Roach. (89 minutes,'85)

The Kingdom: The terrorism story is reinvented as an action film. It is a blood-pumping tale of an elite FBI team that voyages surreptitiously to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to examine a massive explosion at a U.S. living area. Cast includes Jamie Foxx, Jennifer Garner, Chris Cooper, Jason Bateman, Ashraf Barhom, Ali Suliman, Jeremy Piven, Danny Huston, Richard Jenkins, Frances Fisher, Anna Deavere Smith, and Tim McGraw. (110 minutes, 2007)

Kingdom of Heaven: A blacksmith, reeling from personal catastrophe, is influenced to join the Crusades by an illustrious knight, who says he is the young gentleman's dad. The new knight shows his mettle by demonstrating himself a man of the people who battles to accomplish harmony between the Muslims and the Christians when guarding Jerusalem. Impressive, mythical film manages to find nobility in the Crusades, although by no means loses sight of its core personality's personal voyage. Cast includes Orlando Bloom, Limn Neeson, Eva Green, Jeremy Irons, David Thewlis, Brendan Gleeson, Marton Csokas, Ghassan Massoud, Edward Norton, and Jon Finch. (145 minutes, 2005)

Darby O'Gill and the Little People: Momentous Disney fantasy in reference to an Irish caretaker (Sharpe) who tells so many unbelievable stories that no one believes him while he affirms he's befriended the Baron of Leprechauns. This film is a real pleasure, with some beaming visual effects. Cast includes Albert Sharpe, Janet Munro, Sean Connery, Jimmy O'Dea, Kieron Moore, and Estelle Winwood. (90 minutes,'59)

Nutcracker the Motion Picture: Much of this rendition of The Nutcracker, acted by the Pacific Northwest Ballet, is like a music video with rapid cutting and close-ups of legs, faces, and elbows. This is extremely irritating. However the Tchaikovsky music is, obviously, amazing, as are Maurice Sendak's sets and costumes. Cast includes Hugh Bigney, Vanessa Sharp Patricia Barker, Plod Walthall, Russell Burnett, and the voice of Julie Harris. (89 minutes,'86)

Ruby's Fantasy: Smooth although typical drive-in fare in regards to a shell-shocked Vietnam vet who finds himself the object of an enormous manhunt in a small Alabama town. It is the same elementary tale as First Blood which came later. Cast includes Linda Blair, Ben Johnson, Matt Clark, and Richard Famsworth. (91 minutes,'82)

Almost any film you can think of can be downloaded from a site online. To find online download sites, try "Movie Trailer Downloads" or "Unlimited Music" in the search engines. If these don't work out, punch in "Online Movies Rental", and see if that works. - 23806
