1) Successor to the highly-rated Oblivion, Fallout 3 has gained many positive reviews. Set sometime after World War II, it combines the best three elements of a classic action game: fast-paced gameplay, realistic perspective, and intelligent survival in a harsh, post-apocalyptic setting. 4) If you're looking for a third-person shooter that is challenging and without the horror, than gear up for Gears of War 2. Multiplayer options allow you to form teams ranging from 2 to 10 players, and with many improvements to gameplay and visuals, this game has truly earned its awards, including "Best Xbox 360 Game of 2008." That alone should be reason enough to go out and buy it.

5) If you haven't heard of Halo 3 and Master Chief already, then you don't know what you've been missing. Part three of the internationally award-winning series, Halo 3 stands on its own. Three features of note: The multiplayer map lineup, the ability to save your films, and the Forge level editor. And don't forget the advanced AI! For veteran players and new players, Halo 3 is a must have for anyone who loves games.

6) For those who worry that this list is all about shooting, killing, and violence, I give you The Beatles: Rock Band. It has received raves for its visual and audios, and some people say that playing it is an almost 'surreal experience.'
