Dinner Rush: A tumultuous day in the life of a recently fashionable N.Y.C. restaurant. Cast includes Danny Aiello, Edoardo Ballerini, Vivian Wu, Mike McGlone, Kirk Acevedo, John Corbett, Sandra Bernhard, Summer Phoenix, Polly Draper, Mark Margolis, and Ajay Naidu. (100 minutes, 2001)
Rebel: Tiresome, justifiably vague time tablet characterizing Stallone, pre-stardom, as a disassociated political extremist (a fascinating balance to Rambo). Cast includes Antony Page, Sylvester E. Stallone, Rebecca Dirties, and Henry G. Sanders. (112 minutes, 1974)
Dusty: A discreet feeling little film in regards to a dingo (crazy mutt of the bush), seized when a puppy and ultimately brought up by an old gentleman (Kerr). Grownups can like it as much as kids. Cast includes John Richardson. Bill Kerr, Noel Trevarthen, Carol Bums, Nicholas Holland, John Stanton, and Kate Edwards. (88 minutes, 1982)
Hoop Dreams: A magnificent documentary that follows 2 Chicago central-city kids (Arthur Agee and William Bars), who have fantasies of basketball stardom, over a 4 years period. This quaint and immersing film plays like drama, not documentary, with the exception of that it takes spontaneous twists and turns no author might create. The film presents a scorching commentary on our school system, the indomitable power of the family, and the uncertainty of life. (109 minutes, 1994)
Lantana: An adult story of relations obstructed by monotony, routine, and absence of articulation. LaPaglia plays a cop, whose matrimony has stagnated, leading him to have an affair. In the mean time, he examines the disappearance of a lady whose own matrimony is in danger. The film is beautifully nuanced at every turn. Cast includes Anthony LaLaglia, Geoffrey Hurry, Barbara Hershey, Kerry Armstrong, Rachael Blake, Vince Colosimo, Daniela Farinacci, and Peter Phelps. (121 minutes, 2001)
Big Shots: So-so adolescent venture in reference to an ignorant white boy and streetwise city black that come together and find themselves hired as hit men. Cast includes Ricky Busker, Darius McCrary, Robert Delight, Robert Prosky, Jerzy Skolimowski, and Paul Winfield. (90 minutes, 1987)

The Alannist: An eccentric and choppy black comedy in reference to a novice door to door security alarm salesman (Arquette) who finds that his manager and self-fashioned mentor (Tucci) is a crook.
