The War Of The Roses: Oliver and Barbara Rose are both fed up. They can't stand each other any more, and both agree to a divorce. The problem is that neither is willing to leave the house.

The Vow: (2001) C-l24 Nevada detective, on the night of his retirement, finds that he is engaged in the case of a little gal's murder and vows to her parents that he can bring the murderer to due process. Another awesome Nicholson acting job anchors this fine-tuned film, which sidesteps recipe in favor of nuance. The Vow is based on the novel by Friedrich Durrenmatt. Cast includes Jack Nicholson, Robin Wright Penn, Benicio Del Toro, Vanessa Redgrave, Tom Noonan, Patricia ClllIkson, Michael O'Keefe, Aaron Eckhart, Costas Mandylor, Helen Mirren, Mickey Rourke, and Sam Shepard. Deep Impact: With a comet on a collision course for Earth. A decision is made to send a apace ship out to intercept the comet, and 'seed' it with nuclear bombs. The explosion splits the comet in two, with the smaller part still heading toward Earth. With a devastating impact looming, it is learned that 1 million Americans will be chosen by lottery to go underground into a network of caves built to survive the impact, and the following sequence of disasters.

It Takes All Kinds: Fair triple-cross tirade in reference to Miles' guarding of Lansing while he inadvertently slaughters seaman in a fight in Australia. Cast includes Vera Miles, Barry Sullivan, Sid Melton, and Dime Sugg. (98 minutes, 1969)

4 Wives: Emotional although well-performed continuation to 4 Baby girls, farther chronicling the lives and cherishes of the title quartet. Garfield appears concisely in flashback.
