Paul Potts New Release Passione Expected to Break Records
After working for a year on a new album, Paul Potts has a new release ready for the world. The CD called Passione is scheduled for a June release in the UK, but has actually already been released in several countries around the world.
Passione is already gaining a lot of popularity and rankings. When the album was released in New Zealand, it debuted at number one and sold more than 7,500 copies in its first week, earning a Gold certification. In Austria, the album debuted at number nine.
Passione includes original tracks along with remakes of popular songs of shows and operas. The tracks on Passione include: La Prima Volta (First Time Ever I Saw Your Face) composed by Ewan MacColl, Un Giorno Per Moi (A Time For Us), Sei Con Me (There For Me) featuring Hayley Westernra, II Canto, E Lucevan Le Stelle composed by Giacomo Puccini, Senza Luce (A Whiter Shade of Pale) composed by Gary Brooker, Matthew Fisher, and Keith Reid, Bellamore composed by Matteo Saggese and Mino Vergnaghi, Piano (Memory) composed by Andrew Lloyed Webber and Roberto Ferri, Tristesse composed by Frdric Chopin, Henrik Janson, Ulf Janson, Josef Larossi, and Andreas Romdhane, and Mamma composed by Josef Larossi, Andreas Romdhane, Savan Kotecha, Bruno Cherubini, and Cesare Andrea Bixio. Piano (Memory) is the same tune from the musical Cats and El Lucevan Le Stella is from the third act of the opera, Tosca.
Paul stated enthusiastically that he incredibly proud and excited for this new album and that it is completely different from his first album, One Chance. He says Passione features more classical music. He credits the many great people he worked with in Europe to record a beautiful album. The name of the album comes from the feeling of passion he feels for his music.
Paul Potts passion is clearly shown with the new release. He has broadened his horizons with the very creative selection of popular songs on this album. It is destined to be a success for him and for all of us. - 23806
