House Party Two: Uninspired continuation has Baby Reid heading off to college-if he might just keep on to the money his temple assembly has brought up to send him there. Reid is still appealing, but this splintered film has little to offer, regardless of its communal awareness meteoric and get a learning "message." Cast includes Christopher Reid, Christopher Martin, Eugene Allen, George Anthony Bell, and William Schatner. (94 minutes, 1991)
Good Night And Good Luck: Lucid dramatization of newscaster Edward R. Murrow's groundbreaking on-the-air altercation with Commie-seeking Senator Joseph R. McCarthy in the 1950s. Knowledgeable production layout by Jim Bissell, cinematography Robert Elswit, and revising Stephen Mirrione combine with pitch-exact behaviors to make us feel like a soar on the fence as CBS TV reporters discuss, talk, carouse, and set history-making TV designs on the air. Strathaim is brilliant as Murrow; McCarthy "plays" himself in vintage kinescope footage. Cast includes David Strathaim, Patricia Clarkson, George Clooney, Jeff Daniels, Robert Downey, Jr., Tate Donovan, and Alex Borstein. (93 minutes, 2005)
Send Me No Flowers: Hypochondriac Rock, believes he has little time to live, has Randall find new spouse for his wife Doris. Cast includes Rock Hudson, Doris Day, Tony Randall, Clint Stroller, Paul Lynde, Hal March, Edward Andrews, and Patricia Barry. (100 minutes, 1964)
Boyz N The Hood: Follows the trials and tribulations of three friends John, Doughboy, and Ricky as they try to survive on the tough inner city streets of south central Los Angeles. Every day can be one of danger on these tough streets. Can these three survive the drugs and violence, and make there way out of these dangerous streets?
Superman Returns: This is a classic superman adventure with all the key players. Superman has disappeared, and for a few years Metropolis has seen a huge rise in crime. Now, Lex Luther is out of prison, and planning out his crimes. Superman eventually realizes that his place in the world is in keeping Metropolis safe, so he returns to Metropolis to battle Lex, and the rest of the cities criminals.
In The Line Of Fire: Frank Horrigan, an overly seasoned Secret Service man, who was working the day J.F.K. was killed, finds himself in another tough situation with a President. Mitch Leary, an embittered former C.I.A. assassin, is after the President. Horrigan will be tested again.
DysFunKtional Family: Noisy, raunchy amalgamation performance film-documentary spotlighting Eddie Griffin, performer/stand-up joke and wannabe Richard Pryor; he acts onstage and is seen in his Kansas City, Missouri, home city, with his genuine-life relatives. The humor is obtuse and disgusting; some can find it racist, chauvinistic, and homophobic, when others can think it comical. (89 minutes, 2003)
Chicago Joe and the Showgirl: Jerk cadet-hood Sutherland, stationed in London throughout WW2, joins a self-misled British tart Lloyd in carrying out trivial offenses that escalate into slay. Famed British tabloid fodder gets the low-spending limit "period" therapy. Gently fascinating account by no means relatively gels, albeit some of the bloodshed offers surprisingly stylized jolts. Lloyd is a lot more fascinating than her co-star here. Cast includes Kiefer Sutherland, Emily Lloyd, Patsy Kensit, Keith Allen, and John Lahr. (103 minutes, 1990)
Millennium: When two planes collide in the sky, Bill Smith is sent in to investigate. The one cockpit recorder reveals a disturbing possibility. The implication is that people from a future Earth are traveling back in time to try and save the planet.
