How Does A Makeup Artist Work?
Make-up artists are artists who work with make-up and prosthetics for the stage, TV, film, magazines, and other media encircling all those performance involved in modelling such as advertisements, picture making, trend shows, etc. Sometimes the make-up artist is trustworthy for hair styling of the person as well.

However, compared to jobs for instance acting or modelling, this is not a very high paying job. Even the best makeup artiste earns very less compared to the finest actor. As is in all industries, the bigger the makeup artist, the more they will make. Most of the good makeup artists earn enough to live joyfully, and even profusely.
The expertise of an artist is, however, not only judged by their makeup method (based on what the director or photographer wants), but also on the relationships they put up with the people they work with. If an artiste or actor likes the makeup artist from a particular job, they may employ them again or refer them to more customers, which is what helps making a big makeup artist.

Most makeup artists are freelancers, but some work with production companies or appoint an organisation to correspond to them.
